“Fitness is known as a place of hope. When I train, it’s a means of hope and energy that comes from my heart; it’s not just me teaching a class.”

-Antoine Howard, master trainer & founder of Lifted

Episode 21 is one of those episodes you’ll walk away with several tid bits and things to think about throughout the week. This episode features guest Antoine Howard, master trainer and founder of a virtual fitness company called Lifted that mixes physical health with mental health. I met Antoine at a HIIT class he was teaching at a local boutique fitness studio, then asked him to be a part of a photoshoot for StudioHop to which he accepted. It doesn’t take long to realize what a fun, inspiring, bubbly & silly dude Antoine is. When you take a class of his, you’ll somehow be laughing while in pain. He’s got that natural hype man secret sauce! In the episode, he talks about how he first got into fitness, some dark moments he’s gone through and what he learned by going through them. We also talk about community building versus competition, some lessons he has learned during the pandemic and tips on how to stay positive and motivated when you really just feel like hitting the couch for some Netflix and not talking to anyone. Get ready for a great pep talk. Hope you love it!

In this episode, we talk about:

  • how he first got into fitness

  • his motivational series, “I am” on Instagram & what it means to be a “mindset architect”
