“The medicines you make in your internal pharmacy are better than what you take because they’re custom-made just for you.”

-Dr. Bill Sears, MD

Welcome to episode 38 of The Fitness Insider podcast! Today’s episode is very special as I am honored to have been able to have an insightful conversation with Dr. Bill Sears, MD. He’s a doctor and author of over 45 books, the co-founder of the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute where I received my health coaching certificate and he has appeared on countless shows such as Oprah, 20/20, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Dateline and many more. He’s the expert on taking the science of nutrition and health and making it simple and fun. In this episode, we talk all about Omega-3 fats, what they are, why they’re important, brain health, your “internal pharmacy” and more. Let’s get right to it.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • our internal pharmacies & how we can unlock them

  • what omega-3 fats are and why they’re important

  • what to eat to get more omega-3s into our diets

  • supplements and how to tell what works and what doesn’t

  • how to keep your brain sharp (and prevent debilitating diseases)

  • the gut-brain connection

  • & more
